But here’s the thing: the price gap isn’t because we’re using cheaper parts. It’s just that we don’t have a massive marketing budget or a middleman. We run the factory. We handle the supply chain. You just get the hardware without the “premium label” markup. Getting the power right We focus heavily on heat density. Whether you’re running a standard 230V setup or need a 400V high-voltage configuration, the physics are pretty straightforward. We tweak the tungsten filament diameter and the thickness of the quartz envelope until we hit your exact wattage. If you go with a 400V tube, you get more heat in a smaller space. It’s efficient. Just a heads-up, though—make sure your power supply can handle that initial surge, or you’ll have a problem on your hands. The science bit (made simple) We use high-purity fused quartz. Why? Because nothing is more annoying than a lamp that clouds up and loses its punch after a few months. For the really intense jobs, we inject halogen gas. This basically pushes the evaporated tungsten back onto the filament, which stops the lamp from burning out early. It lasts longer. Period. We also offer specialized coatings that shift the infrared spectrum. This is a lifesaver for things like PET preforms, where you need the heat to actually sink into the material instead of just scorching the surface. And since we use R7s and Sk15 connectors, these are just drop-in replacements. You swap them out, and you’re back in business. A few real-world warnings High-wattage lamps are amazing because they’re instant. But they’re hard on your gear. If your wiring is too thin, your connectors will pit and eventually fail. It’s a mess.
