Look, this isn’t your average space heater. We built these lamps for when you need serious, high-intensity heat—fast. We’re talking 2000W of power packed into a design that doesn’t waste time heating up the air around it. Instead, it shoots shortwave infrared (SWIR) straight into the surface. If you’re curing coatings or drying paint, it just hits the target and gets to work. The nitty-gritty on size and power At 1020mm long, these fit right into most industrial curing ovens without a fuss. But a heads-up: 2000W is a lot of juice. You’ll want to double-check your wiring and power supply. If your terminals can’t handle the draw, you’re going to have a bad time. We used a quartz envelope for a reason. It can take the brutal internal heat of the halogen cycle and let that infrared light pass through without losing its punch. Why quartz and halogen? Here’s the trick: we fill these with halogen gas. That stops the tungsten filament from evaporating and gunking up the inside of the tube. It keeps the glass crystal clear, which means the lamp lasts way longer. Plus, quartz handles “thermal shock” way better than the cheap stuff. You can flip these on and off pretty frequently. Though, if you want to be kind to the filament, a steady ramp-up is always the way to go. Getting it right on the line If you’re running a powder coating or paint line, these are pretty much the gold standard. The heat is instant. But you’ve got to find the sweet spot with your conveyor speed. Since the heat is so concentrated, timing is everything. Run the line too slow? You’ll scorch your work. Too fast? The paint stays tacky. It’s all about balancing that line speed with the heat density to get a finish that actually looks professional.
